Incentives

The Redding City Council has approved an Incentive Policy that provides a number of benefits to companies developing in the Stillwater Business Park. These incentives include:

  • Job credits
  • Traffic Impact Fee waivers
  • Redding Electric Utility incentive rate discounts
  • California state Enterprise Zone tax credits

Job Credits
A job credit of $1,500 per employee is available to companies creating 10 or more jobs at or above the area's average wage. These credits can be used to offset development fees, up to $500,000 per development.

Traffic Impact Fee Waiver
Companies locating in the Stillwater Business Park can also take advantage of a Traffic Impact Fee waiver if they are creating 10 or more jobs at or above the area average wage.

Electric Rate Discount
The Redding Electric Utility (REU) has been authorized by the Redding City Council to offer electric rate discounts for industrial users. These reductions are in addition to the already low rates that typically run 30% to 40% less than investor-owned electricity providers in California. These discounted rates are based on kWh usage and demand and are determined on a customized basis.
